Urban Places – Public Spaces
Evaluation of the global debate
Short description
The series of global conversation “Urban Places – Public Spaces” addressed the issues of participation, common goods and justice in cities and asked what future cities should look like. From February till April 2015 experts and residence in Munich discussed these issues via live video conference with guests in other cities: Istanbul & São Paulo, Madrid & Munich, Rotterdam & Johannesburg. The global debate with 27 experts and audiences in seven cities as well as online was accompanied by documentations of artistic interventions and projects in urban spaces.
Method
Subject of the evaluation are goals and effects of the project “Urban Places – Public Spaces” with special emphasis of possible further advancements. For this purpose will use several quantitative and qualitative methods: observation, media and document analysis, questionnaires, guided interviews, round table discussions.
