Evaluation of a programm that drives artistic performance and creative development of young students.
Arts Education is seen as basic education that is integrated in everyday school life of all subjects. Further, it inspires arts performance of children and teachers.
Within the framework of “Max – Artistis in Residence at Elementary Schools”, artists move their atelier and work place in an elementary school. Next to observing the work of the artists, students and teachers have the option to visit and use the atelier also.
EDUCULT evaluates the importance of “Max” for students and artists. Further, the evaluation sheds light on influences on school development, teaching and learning at the school. Findings shall be used as a basis to develop the programme further.
Based on a documentary analysis, a mix of qualitative methods such as focused interviews, participatory observations and round-table discussions is applied. The methods aim to find out more about experiences and perspectives of all players and participants like schools, teachers, students and artists.
