KONNEX – Mentors for young people with migration history

“KONNEX” has started successfully. 27 youngsters have met their mentors and planned and carried out first joint activities. The accompanying program offers a range of workshops, company visits and insights in the political work of parliamentarians.

KONNEX – Mentors for young people with migration history

An experienced mentor from the economy, politics, media or arts and culture accompanies the mentee over one year. They will share their professional knowledge and networks with the young people in order to support their career choice and to strengthen their social competences. In addition, the program involves joint activities like workshops, topical debates as well as cultural activities.

Target group

„Konnex – Mentors für young people with migration history“ is targeted at young people in Vienna and the surrounding area who participated in the finals of the Sag’s multi!“ competition. For the future, it is planned to expand the target group.

The mentors

Mentors can have a migration background – or not. They are leadership personalities in the economy, public services or any other sector of interest for the young people. The mentors will support the young people through their professional networks and experiences.

The mentor/mentee pair will be selected according to the interest of the young person. The network of „Verein Wirtschaft für Integration“ will assist in finding the right people.

The role of EDUCULT

EDUCULT will take care of the organisation of the mentorship program. We will coordinate the selection process, support the mentees and mentors and carry out workshops and events.
