In the first half of 2024, EDUCULT was able to conduct numerous interviews with school development advisors, teachers, school leaders and stakeholders from education policy and administration. Five in-depth case studies were also conducted at school locations as part of the survey. We are now entering the final phase of the in-process evaluation with further data collection and the preparation of the final report, which is due to be published in 2025.
The “Wiener Bildungsversprechen” is a project to promote the independent development of Viennese compulsory schools. The City of Vienna is dedicated to the multitude of challenges that schools face. The project aims to support schools in mastering their challenges and driving developments independently.
With this project, education and school development are viewed holistically and sustainably. Accompanied by school development consultants, measures for all stakeholders (headmasters, teachers, students, legal guardians, etc.) are implemented together with external cooperation partners on the basis of school-specific agreements.
The evaluation relies on a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. All actors in the project should have their say. In addition to the analysis of relevant documents, the project team, implementation and cooperation partners, headmasters, teachers, students, legal guardians, etc. will be involved using various methods such as interviews, focus groups or an online survey. The evaluation focuses on the structure and process quality of the project.
