EDUCULT will scientifically accompany and co-creatively evaluate the second round of the integrative cultural mediation project for and with teenagers and young adults, ‘Demokratie, was geht?’.
‘Demokratie, was geht?’ is an integrative cultural mediation project for and with teenagers and young adults in Austria. Through a playful exploration and practical engagement with various art forms, participants are offered a positive personal narrative and a sense of self-efficacy in the collective that strengthens their identity. The project is funded by the Austrian Ministry of Social Affairs in the area of diversity and equal opportunities, and is primarily aimed at young people who are structurally disadvantaged, or experience marginalisation.
As part of the scientific monitoring, EDUCULT uses participatory evaluation methods that actively involves the young people. Interviews are also conducted with the project team and workshop leaders. Participatory observations are planned for the workshops and events, as well as surveys of both participants and the audience at the final event.
