Support and advice during the start-up phase of the think tank
EDUCULT has accompanied and evaluated the Schalom Aleikum project since 2019. After analysing the processes, structures, public relations and quality as well as the results and impacts of the project formats in the previous years, the focus of EDUCULT’s advisory activities in the first half of 2022 was on potential further development of the project, specifically with regard to the establishment of a think tank.
On 14 September 2022, the think tank “Denkfabrik Schalom Aleikum. Forum für Jüdisch-Muslimischen Dialog” was brought into being. The think tank is based on sustainable foundations and researches socially and politically relevant topics that are discussed from a Jewish and Muslim perspective. As a platform for Jewish and Muslim experts, civil actors and research institutions, the think tank aims to provide impulses for social and political debates and to contribute to strengthening democracy and social cohesion.
EDUCULT advises the think tank team with regard to these objectives and on the basis of participant observation, document and media analysis.
