Evaluation of the on-site consulting teams

Abstract

In the pilot phase, eleven cultural institutions are supported in optimizing their education work by consulting teams according to their own demand. The Federal Academy of Cultural Education Wolfenbüttel coordinates the project. This consulting process is evaluated by EDUCULT. The following aspects will be regarded closely:

• Is the on-site consulting team a useful instrument to optimize the education work?
• What are its conceptual benefits?
• What kinds of experiences are made during the implementation in practice?
• Were all objectives reached or is there a need to readjust the conceptual, organizational or technical implementation?

Approach

As evaluators, we regard ourselves as critical friends – not as inspectors. Our offer aims at answering the above mentioned questions by actively involving all parties. To guarantee this, we will make use of different methods such as document analysis, interviews and round tables.
