Arts Education and Labour Market

The question of cultural education in the context of vocational schooling and training, employment and work is currently one of our priorities. This research project focuses on the question how cultural competences relate to the employment and work context.
The study targets stakeholders and experts from companies, vocational schools, education politics, education policy researchers and arts and cultural institutions.
Further information is available in German (Projektinformation). The final report in German is available here.
The study is based on qualitative interviews, in combination with round table meetings. The report shows the perspective of the labour market on the development of cultural competences. Based on this, it also includes specific recommendations on how the dialogue between the business sector, the education sector and the arts & cultural sector about the development of cultural competences can be improved.
