Evaluation of the NEUSTART KULTUR programme and study on the realities of work and existence
The aim of the evaluation is to analyse the procedures and processes of the NEUSTART KULTUR programme as well as results and impacts. Evaluation questions formulated along the areas of structural, process and outcome quality structure the evaluation project.
The evaluation design uses a mixed-methods approach. On the one hand, this includes a combination of quantitative surveys (online surveys) and qualitative surveys (interviews, focus groups). On the other hand, a combination of the empirical data material with a document analysis of existing data material (preliminary studies, documentations, project reports, etc.) is used. The multi-method approach ensures that different perspectives find their way into the analysis.
In parallel EDUCULT is working on a study on the situation of free ensembles and orchestras in Germany. For this purpose, data on the organizational structures, realities of work and existence, networks and business fields of professional free ensembles and orchestras will be analyzed. The analysis should contribute to a differentiated understanding of the music scene, which can support institutions, public institutions and organisations in addressing and supporting actors of the independent music scene in a more targeted way.
