CURRENT

At the end of the year, the project entered its final phase. All data collected (interviews with stakeholders, employees and participants, observations at events, quantitative questionnaires) were triangulated with each other, and the results were incorporated into a final report. A final presentation took place at the beginning of March, in which the results and associated recommendations for action were once again communicated in a collected form.

New Pathways for German-Turkish Youth Exchange

Evaluation of digital projects in the framework of the German-Turkish Youth Exchange

Evaluation design:

The evaluation covers the “New Pathways for German-Turkish Youth Exchange” initiated projects “20∞1 – Zukunftsfestival Almanya-Türkei,” “Youth-led City Partnerships,” and “Gaming and Youth Exchange.” The research design is focused on analyzing all three actions on the basis of their processes and results. After this, recommendations for action as well as optimization possibilities will be drafted, based on the research.

Methods:

The methodological framework of the evaluation is a complex mixed-methods design. In the first step, theoretical data, obtained through document analysis, will be analyzed based on the research questions. These first results will flow into the next steps of data collection. The second step will consist of the triangulation of a) surveys gathering both quantitative and qualitative data, b) interviews with different actors, and c) participant observation of multiple workshops which are part of the projects.
Afterwards, the mass of empirical date will be used for an analysis, which includes comparative study, in order to answer the research questions at the heart of the evaluation.
