Promoting STEM education in schools

Mapping and cross-country analysis of STEM education policies, Erasmus+ good practices and stakeholder consultation across the EU and beyond

The study examined how STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education is promoted across European school systems, and the policies, reforms and practices that shape it. Its main aims were to map what exists, identify the barriers to successful STEM education, and inform policy action at EU, national and regional level.

As part of the Technopolis consortium, EDUCULT prepared the country reports for Austria and Switzerland. For each, it mapped the national STEM policies, strategies and good practices across formal, non-formal and informal learning, drawing on stakeholder interviews and document analysis.

The country reports for Austria and Switzerland are available for download here in PDF format.
