Cultural Learning in and with Enterprises
Short description
International institutions such as the European Union, the UNESCO, a number of governments and representatives of business, industry and society are searching for new concepts and ideas on how to prepare people for the future. They assume that in many existing education and economic institutions, creative potentials are neglected and thus not activated and used in an efficient way.
The stakeholders have realized that new structures and alliances are needed to jointly use the respective resources and competences and to open new opportunities for development for future generations in and through arts and culture.
The project aims to demonstrate how aspects of arts and culture can be integrated in the strategies of business and industry. We will look into new partnerships and cooperation between economy, education and arts and culture to foster arts and culture based learning.
Method
The research project is designed in a participative, dialogue-focused and activating way. Besides desk-top research we will conduct interviews with experts from industry/business, politics, arts and culture, education and society. In addition, we will carry out case studies to learn from different practices and programmes. Two round table discussions will involve mixed perspectives and expectations to foster a cross-sectorial conversation.
