SAG’S MULTI! 2022/23
Multilingual Rethoric Contest
Summary
This speech competition allows students, in 7th year and beyond, and with or without migration background, to use and strengthen their linguistic and cultural diversity. Our experiences over the last few years have shown us that participants are able to strengthen their cultural awareness through these public speech contests. The young participants return to school more confident and with important experiences under their belt!
The “SAG’S MULTI!” stage is open to all multilingual pupils – with and without a so-called migration history: The pupils give bilingual speeches in which they switch several times between German and another language. This second language can either be a first or native tongue other than German or a foreign language.
Details for the 2022/23 competition
The 2022/23 “SAG’S MULTI” contest will be lead by the ORF for the second time. EDUCULT is the operational partner in organisation and implementation.
This year complete contests, including preliminary rounds, main rounds, final rounds with a prize winner, will take place in each Austrian state. The students enter three categories based on their grade. An Austria-wide finale in June 2023 will bring the event to a close.
Registration and upload deadline for the video-speech in the preliminary round: 19 September – 03 November 2022
