„Art gives us the opportunity to encounter a structured world with creativity and freedom.”

Veronika Ehm (she/her) is responsible for studies and evaluations in the field of culture and aesthetic education at EDUCULT, as well as for qualitative and quantitative social science methods. She is a trained elementary school teacher, studied sociology at the University of Vienna, spent semester abroad in Copenhagen and Jerusalem, and earned her PhD in educational sciences. In her dissertation “Art in Kindergarten,” she examined aesthetic experiences in elementary education contexts using phenomenological and reconstructive approaches. She is also active in the Austrian Society for Research and Development in Education (ÖFEB), Elementary Education Section, and the Network for Early Childhood Cultural Education (NFKB). Her aim is to make experience of art education accessible through phenomenological approaches and open to theoretical discussions, as well as to strengthen aesthetic education at an early age.
