In the concert event on 07.10.2022, Isabel Frey, Esther Wratschko, Zoe Aqua and Dan Kunda Thagard shared a stage at the Salon of Cultures. The event took place as part of MUSAO - Museum Astray Ottakring at Kunsttankstelle Ottakring.

In the performative music event “Untouched”, revolutionary Yiddish singers Isabel Frey & Esther Wratschko shared a stage with the musicians Zoe Aqua and Dan Kunda Thagard .

The Duo “Soveles” (Isabel Frey, Esther Wratschko)

A two-part a capella singing duo dedicated to a particularly intimate genre: unaccompanied Yiddish song. Inspired by old archive recordings of traditional singers, Esther Wratschko and Isabel Frey together create Yiddish songs with a socially critical, women’s and human rights focus.

The performance of Palestinian singer-songwriter and multi-genre musician Jowan Safadi unfortunately had to be cancelled. Instead, the klezmer-musicians Zoe Aqua and Dan Kunda Thagard supported the duo on the violin.

The Salon of Cultures is an interdisciplinary event and exhibition series that since 2010 has regularly created an artistic presentation and interaction space for artists, a diverse audience interested in art and culture, actors from culture, education and science with free admission in the Q21 of the MuseumsQuartier Vienna and at decentralised locations in Vienna in cooperation with cultural institutions and artists. EDUCULT is the initiator and organiser of the Salon of Cultures.
