Symposium: “Alles neu macht der Mai!”

A future lab for the conception of a new cultural policy

Date: 23 May 2023, 09:30 am – 7 pm

Location: University of Applied Arts (Auditorium): Vordere Zollamtsstraße 7, A-1010 Wien

In May 2022, a symposium entitled ” Unsere Kultur geht auf keine Kuhhaut” was held with great interest on the part of the cultural scene. The central topics of discussion were power structures and conflicts, cooperation and coalitions, new settings and formats, and changes in cultural behavior. This year’s symposium on cultural policy aims to continue this discussion.

Under the title “A different future for the cultural sector is possible,” the focus of this year’s symposium is on countering the increasingly darkening expectations for the future with positive perspectives. The central themes of the event are proposed to be strategy and cultural development planning, as well as the cultural enterprise as a place for the public to create new forms of cooperation and interaction beyond traditional professional and operational boundaries.
