The European Network of Observatories in the Field of Arts and Cultural Education (ENO) connects knowledge centres in European countries. ENO strives to facilitate the exchange of research findings and innovative practices, to stimulate new research in arts and cultural education and to support the development of arts education following the framework of UNESCO policies and guidelines for the areas of education, culture and sustainable development. As a member of ENO, EDUCULT is a part of ENO’s Austrian National Observatory, partnering with OeAD, University College of Teacher Education and the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz, to collaborate on an exchange of arts, culture, and education.
D/ARTS – Projektbüro für Diversität und urbanen Dialog brings more diversity to Vienna’s cultural landscape. In broad alliance with numerous Viennese cultural institutions, a diverse programme is offered: Discussions, conferences, workshops or art productions of a diverse society. D/Arts questions, points out, claims and aims at a transformation of the cultural sector. EDUCULT is an active part of the network and participates in the platform in a researching, advisory, discursive capacity and organises artistic events.
The International Conference on Cultural Policy Research (ICCPR) is an international organization focused on interdisciplinary investigations into the meaning, function, and impact of cultural policies. ICCPR interprets cultural policy as the promotion or prohibition of cultural values and practices by governments, corporations, institutions, and individuals. ICCPR’s thematic focus on contemporary issues is intended to encourage the fruitful international exchange of ideas and research. In cooperation with the International Journal of Cultural Policy, ICCPR holds a biennial research conference focusing on these themes. In 2006, EDUCULT organized ICCPR in Vienna, and since then has been contributing to the conferences with a focus on questions of participation as well as educational and social issues. The director of EDUCULT is a member of the Scientific Committee that helps steer ICCPR.
